Why I volunteer for Translators Without Borders
prozcomblog.com

I just completed a translation for Translators Without Borders, my fourth this year. And I must admit I was touched. This time I translated for a charity that helped orphaned children get back to school after the Ebola outbreak last year. Such a beautiful initiative needs our support.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             https://prozcomblog.com

Courts struggle to find interpreters in unusual languages
suzannedeliscar.ca

People speaking rare or unusual languages are often denied timely access to justice due to a shortage of court interpreters with knowledge of their specialized vernaculars, says Brampton lawyer-linguist Suzanne Deliscar. “How can someone properly defend themselves or put forward their position if they can’t communicate?” asks Deliscar, principal of Deliscar Professional Corporation.   http://suzannedeliscar.ca

Red T – Translating and interpreting in conflict zones

All or Nothing?
www.intercombase.com

Can we have all things we want and save money at the same time? It is a good question, though! We may assume that taking on credits will save our deplorable situation. But binding oneself with monthly payments is far from freedom of choice but rather voluntary life-long commitment to indebtedness before banking institutions or […]
