Getting personal with your customers: to share or not to share?

In today’s world of omnipresent social media, many succumb to the urge (myself included!) to share their lives and experiences, trials and tribulations, milestones and Major Life Events on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn (even though personal stuff is a no-no there), Instagram and so on. Sharing is popular, sharing is in.
